Techno Maritime Awards 2008

The Techno Maritime Awards made its first appearance in the venue of ’MASTECH 2008’ on 13 November 2008 at Hotel Crowne Plaza, Dubai, organized in connection with the silver jubilee celebrations of MAST. Techno Maritime Awards are bestowed to honor the outstanding performances in the Middle East maritime industry.

Techno Maritime Awards 2008 constituted 19 awards for various categories, including three Special Jury Awards for the Best Paper Presenter, Best Digital Booth and Best Conference Attendee. A special award for maximum participation was also given away during the Techno Maritime Award Nite. The award nite witnessed a global gathering of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers for the first time ever in the history of maritime events and honored the yeoman service towards the UAE maritime industry. The function was attended by over 1000 delegates of maritime industry from different parts of the world. Variety entertainment programs and dazzling performances from across the world added an extra dimension to the event offering a visual feast for all the eyes.

MASTECH 2008 received tremendous support from various sponsors such as Drydocks World- Dubai, Albwardy Marine Engineering, Emirates Trading Agency, Clarkson Technical Services, Emarat Maritime, HICO Group and various other supporting sponsors. The function concluded with photo sessions of the award winners and with the announcement of next MASTECH to be held in the year 2010
