About MAST

The MAST alumni association is working in the UAE since 1980's. Presence of the Alumni in the Middle East is now a well known factor to the UAE maritime sector with more than 150 of our Naval Architects working in various maritime companies including classification societies, ship owners, shipyards consultancies, legal firms, charterers, port operators etc. The success of the alumni is due to the dedication and hard working nature of our members and there is contribution from each and every member who was here from the formation of our alumni.

Idea of conducting an international maritime conference by MAST (Middle East Alumni of Ship technology) was under discussion among the members for the last 2 years. There were quite lot of discussions and debates over the subject as MAST is organizing such an event for the first time in UAE and its acceptability by the UAE maritime community. But the driving force was our 150 dedicated and hard working members working in various positions in UAE marine industry and their support. Presence of the Alumni in the Middle East is now well known and has become a part of the UAE maritime sector. It is also remarkable to note the fact and a great honor for all of us to complete 25 years existence of our Alumni in United Arab Emirates. As an alumni the activities were not just social gathering, but we have conducted quite number of internal technical seminars, marine quiz competitions and various charity supports.
